At the heart of Daughters of India, we believe supporting women to feel empowered is a key component of a positive future.

We have pledged an ongoing monthly donation of $10,000 to support our charity partnerships Sewing the Seeds and Saheli Women.

Sewing the seeds


Sewing the Seeds is a women’s empowerment initiative that uses education and creativity in slow fashion to help break the cycle of poverty for Indian women. Their centre offers training in business, finance, and women’s health, fostering self-confidence in a supportive environment.
 
We have committed to a monthly donation of $5,000 to support their impactful work.

Saheli Women

We’re working with Saheli women to launch Saheli Kapas, a Cotton Project, to support and empower female farmers at the root of the supply chain. Saheli Women believe true fashion starts with the Earth and the women who nurture and farm it.


The pilot begins with five women and their farms, providing them with training, direct income, and ongoing support. By offering access to quality seeds and low-water sustainable practices, we aim to uplift communities while honouring Mother Earth.

What is the Daughters of India Community?

The Daughters of India Community is a way for us to say thank you to our amazing community. You can earn points from various activities and then redeem these points for gift vouchers, free shipping and more.

How do I join the Daughters of India Community?

You can sign up to the Daughters Of India Community here.

Will I receive anything for joining?

Yes! You will receive 75 points when you complete your first purchase.

What currency are vouchers issued in?

All gift vouchers are distributed in AUD. Only one voucher can be used per order.

Can I use my points during sales, promotions or with other discounts?

No, loyalty discount codes cannot be applied in conjunction with other promotions or discounts.

I have placed an order but my points haven't been updated, why?

When you place an order your points go through a verification process but should become available promptly. If you have any issues please contact our team at hello@daughtersofindia.net.

Can I receive points for past orders?

As long as you are logged into your Shopify Account your points will automatically be added to your loyalty account after checkout. Unfortunately, we cannot track orders made under separate emails.

Our slow fashion garments support Indian women and preserve ancient textile methods. We follow a zero-waste design process, producing minimal quantities to avoid excess waste. Every purchase aids women empowerment projects in India and supports local communities in sustainable craftsmanship.

Shop with confidence knowing you can easily exchange for size or receive a store credit in the form of a Daughters of India Gift Card for return items.

We are a small team however we endeavour to process your order within 1-3 business days.

Due to their limited and unique nature, returned items (excluding final sale items) are eligible for an exchange of size or store credit in the form of a Daughters of India Gift Card.

  • Returns are accepted within 30 days from shipment. Unfortunately we are unable to honour a return outside of the 30 day return period. 
  • Items must be returned in original condition - unworn, unwashed with tags attached, folded neatly in the Daughters of India tote bag provided.
  • Shipping costs and custom duties & taxes are non-refundable.
  • Exchanges are available on the same item only, in a smaller or larger size. Domestic orders within Australia will be provided with a prepaid shipping label with a $15 shipping fee. US orders will be provided with a prepaid shipping label with a $30 AUD shipping fee. International orders will incur a $30 AUD shipping fee and are required to arrange return postage at own expense via your preferred shipping provider. We recommend using a trackable shipping service.
  • No returns, store credits, or exchanges on final sale items.
